About the Show

This documentary series focuses its lens on crimes that stand out in the annals of justice because they are not committed by the psychopathic murderers. They are the uncommon crimes, committed by common people. Each one-hour episode tells the whole “true crime” story from a human perspective, with personal and often intimate accounts.

The criminals profiled lead normal lives and are respected members of their community. They have a family, a group of friends, neighbours, colleagues, Our stories are told from the point of view of these people: those who traveled in the same social circles, who knew the person before the events in question, and who can best reveal the human being behind the murderer. Experts in the field, such as psychologists, psychiatrists and criminologists, provide further analysis, delving beyond the personal accounts, helping to solve the mystery of The Killer Next Door – what, in the final analysis, made them do it?

If a tragedy such as this was brewing within your inner circle, would you see it coming?
