Three generations of women living together deal with personal and professional crises in their lives.

Amy Brenneman (NYPD Blue) stars in Judging Amy, about a single mother who leaves New York City behind to become a judge in Hartford, Connecticut.

Recently divorced and with a young daughter, Judge Amy Gray moves in with her very opinionated mother (Tyne Daly) and free-spirited brother (Dan Futterman) and tries to start fresh with a new job in a new place.

Based on the real-life story of Brenneman's own mother, Judging Amy is the story of three generations of women living together as they confront the personal and professional dilemmas in their changing lives.
